Milwaukee's Ben Sheets is definitely struggling. The righty has not won a game since the real ace, CC Sabathia, arrived in Milwaukee. One can expect some shaky starts when your team brings in the best pitcher in the big's. But Ben has looked distant lately, as if he lost his confidence. He was basically given a win on a silver platter last night facing the young Jorge Campillo. Sheets (10-5) earned another loss yesterday allowing the lowly, banged-up Braves rock 6 hits and 3 runs off him.
Seth McClung, who lost the 5th spot in the rotation to Dave Bush last week, looked equally bad. He gave up 2 and 2 runs relieving Ben.
-Corey Hart dropped below .280 on Saturday. He's now batting .279 and is in a significant slump both offensively and defensively. He looks lost out in right field at times. Looks tired.
-Prince had a double.
-I was listening to the game on XM Radio yesterday for some of the game. I was driving back from Milwaukee and sometimes lose the 620am signal. Anyways, I heard Skip Caray on there. That would be the last time as he died in his sleep yesterday. He was the radio announcer and at times, TBS announcer for the Braves. Sad. He was 68.
-Milwaukee travels north to play the Reds for a 3 game series. They always look rough there. Hopefully Manny can pull himself out of his mini slump. He's lost two straight now I believe.
